In Lock Waiting To Rise 11 Feet At Deep Creek Lock

Note the lock tender with the long boat pole reaching down for the boat's dock lines. This made it very easy and within a couple of minutes Doublewide is made secure. You can see the lines on her stern going to the top o the lock.

The lockmaster is helping the sailboat behind Doublewide - he's picking up their bow line. When the lock is closed and the water rises, I have to keep taking in the slack on the bow and stern lines to insure she doesn't get out of control in the curents, I want her snug up against the wall. There are lots of bumpers and bumper boards to make sure she does not rub on the lock wall on the way up.
